* Tyreke Johnson: It's been long expected for Johnson to be a five-star prospect dating back to when he burst on the recruiting scene his freshman year. The Gators are the only school in state that Johnson is considering. UCLA is team Johnson says is out in front currently.

* Trevor Lawrence: The Gators recently hosted this five-star signal caller on campus for a few days. During his visit Lawrence was able to see the Gators spring football game. Tennessee and Georgia are the teams rumored to be in the best position.

* Derrik Allen: The Gators recently offered this four-star defensive back (today). Allen is a bigger defensive back that fit the the build that UF has recruited since the arrival of Torrian Gray.

* Tyson Campbell: The Gators have been very active at American Heritage High School over the last few years. Campbell is one of the handful of 2018 prospects who already hold an offer from the Orange and Blue.

* Brian Hightower: The Gators recently offered this four-star pass catcher while on campus for a visit. After the offer and visit to UF Hightower left campus saying the Gators were his leader. He lived out West in California before moving to IMG Academy.

* Marcus Jenkins: This 2018 big man attends the same high school as 2016 signee Jeawon Taylor. Jenkins has visited Gainesville in the past for a game, and is high on the Gators. With how aggressive the Gators have been in the state of Alabama, expect UF to recruit this four-star heavily.

* Emory Jones: Florida offered this four-star not too long ago during a visit to campus. The Gators are high on Jones size and hope to pluck him out of the Peach State in 2018. The Gators have a commitment already in 2017 in Jake Allen, so the staff will likely get an early start to scouting for a signal caller for the 2018 class.

* Lorenzo Lingard: This four-star back picked up the offer from the Gators after winning the Orlando Rivals camp MVP award two years ago. The Gators are heavily in the mix, but Lingard admits Florida State is out in-front.

* Mark Pope: The Gators offered this four-star pass catcher a few months back after a standout performance at the Miami Rivals Camp. Alabama is the current leader for his services.

* Patrick Surtain: The Gators are one of the many schools that have offered this big time defensive back. He's visited Gainesville recently while in town for the Florida Relays. He is in no hurry to make a commitment and has yet to name any top schools.

* Xavier Thomas: The Gators recently offered this four-star defensive end when Chris Rumph came calling. Thomas says Gainesville is his mother's hometown and Floridas is her Alma Mater.

* Justin Watkins: After backing off an early commitment to LSU, Watkins says Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, and LSU stick out to him currently. He's been a regular in Gainesville this spring watching several practices as well as the Gators spring game this past Friday. His former teammate Freddie Swain enrolled early at Florida.
