Florida running in second place for Five-Star Challenge top a.m. performer
ATLANTA, Ga. | In an event showcasing some of the top prospects from across the nation, it was Pensacola (Fla.) Washington Rivals100 offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood who turned in a standout performance during Saturday morning at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge presented by Under Armour.
Leatherwood was one of the players who made a significant move up in the last round of Rivals rankings, but fell just outside of a five-star rating. The the show he's putting on this weekend, he may just eventually attain that elite status.
“My goal this weekend is to get to five-star,” Leatherwood said bluntly. “That is the mindset for me. It’s something I want to accomplish while competing against the best.”
