Unofficial Scholarship Breakdown: One under the limit
Entering his second summer as the head coach at Florida Jim McElwain is in much better shape than he was at this time last year numbers wise.
Here is a look at the updated Unofficial Scholarship Breakdown.
The Movement Since the last Update:
--Took kicker Austin Hardin and offensive guard Travaris Dorsey off the scholarship chart
--Added long-snapper Ryan Farr to the scholarship chart
--Reclassified Kylan Johnson as a linebacker
--Reclassified kicker Eddy Pineiro from freshman to redshirt sophomore
--Reclassified walk-on Case Harrison from running back to wide out
--Walk-ons who were awarded scholarships last August remain counted as scholarship players in this chart and are designated with a (w).
After the movement, Florida currently stands at 84 scholarship players - one under the NCAA maximum.
The Gators currently only have nine scholarship seniors. Combine that with being one under the limit - and even with attrition (transfers, injuries, players leaving early for the NFL) added down the road, the Class of 2017 looks to be small in numbers.
